Elections: Last Graduate Council Meeting of Semester APRIL 15

The graduate council for the Fall 2019-2020 academic year will replace the entity known as the Morgan State Graduate Student Association (MSGSA). The current council members along with the support of Dean Garrison has proposed to dissolve the graduate student association. Beginning in the Fall the organization will operate as one entity known as the Graduate Council. The Graduate Council will work in conjunction with the Faculty Council and the Student Affairs committee. Current active members believe this is the best way to move forward as we seek to impact positive change in the graduate community and legitimize our presence on campus.
Since formal elections did not occur during this academic school year, at our next meeting on Monday April 15 at 1:30pm we will discuss and make decisions on how to move forward with the leadership as we seek to implement the new structure. RSVP for this event on Facebook and get details here.

Graduate Council Meeting: February 7th

The MSGSA graduate student council has been meeting regularly since the start of the school year. If you would like to be a part, please email Thea Celestine at thcel1@morgan.edu

Currently, some of the issues we are addressing this year include the need for the writing center to hire staff to accommodate graduate students. We are also working on initiatives to strengthen community and information-sharing among graduate students. If you want to be on the council, focused on pivotal issues concerning graduate students attending Morgan State University, join us by attending our first meeting of this semester. You will become a representative of your academic department and be responsible for sharing information with other students in your program.
